Little Grebe near Bergen in Hordaland county on the 7th. of January 2003. Little Grebes are pretty scarce winter visitors in the county, with about 15-20 individuals annually. When the ice covers most nearby lakes, this tiny river is almost always open. During the cold period in December 2002 and January 2003 the spot has hosted a Smew, two Little Grebes, two Common Coots and some Goldeneyes, Tufted Ducks and Mallards.
