During evenings in late July and August, Barn Swallows gather and spend the nights together in suitable reedbeds. Some places in Hordaland county 3000 birds may be seen "swarming" at the same time. This scolding adult bird is in a flock of about 150 birds. Photographed at Hatlestad, Bergen in Hordaland on the third of August 2002.
