Hen Harrier

This adult male Hen Harrier was hunting at Hardangervidda in Hordaland county on the 14th. of June 2001. Probably as a result of beeing under-reported and overlooked, this species is only represented in the local records comittees archives with 20 previous records.


Note the dark trailing edge on the primaries and secondaries, a field character excluding the quite similar species Montagu's and Pallid Harriers.
