Larus sp.
Probably fifth calendar-year
16 November 2004
Nidarø, Trondheim, Sør-Trøndelag, Norway

The previously debated Trondheim Mystery Gull from last winter returned at the same site today. Several people from both sides of the Atlantic thought it could be a California Gull ssp. albertaensis. Some features, such as the wing proportions (see flightshots from February) exclude California Gull, but indicate that it might be a hybrid Caspian x Herring Gull.
