14th. of November 2002: An adult Glaucous Gull from August 2001 is uploaded here. The faithful Ring-billed Gull showed up for the first time this autumn in the city park of Bergen. Some pictures are added to the Norwegian Cyberbirding site, click here.
1st. of November 2002: A leucistic adult Black-headed Gull from this summer is added today, and can be found here.
1st. of October 2002: Two more juvenile Lesser Black-backed Gulls are added today. Bird one can be viewed here, and five pictures of bird two here (including detail shots of coverts, tertials, tail etc.). During ringing of Common Gulls in the city park of Bergen, we caught a remarkable bird. It is unclear what this clubfooted bird is infected with (some kind of worm; nematode, effect of a virus or a bachterial infection?). Have a look at this picture, and send me a comment if you have any suggestions.

31st. of May 2002: Two sub-adult (3rd. summer) Lesser Black-backed gulls are added today. The first bird is very adult-like in overall plumage and bare parts, but show no white in primary tips despite an obvious white spot is present on p10. The tail has black vermiculation on most feathers. Have a look at it here. The next bird is pretty similar to the first one, but it showed somewhat brighter upperparts in the field, no vermiculation on the tail, and a brownish hue on the wing-coverts. See it here.

6th. of April 2002: A new "yellowish"-legged Herring Gull turned up in Bergen today. It was a fourth calendar-year, and three pictures can bee seen here. Also new; an intermedius Lesser Black-backed Gull here.
4th. of April 2002: A Second winter/summer Great Black-backed Gull is new today. See it here.
3rd. of April 2002: Six new intermedius Lesser Black-backed Gull pages have been added today (all photographed yesterday). 4th. of March 2002: The second winter Ring-billed Gull present in Oslo at the moment is added today. Here you can see what it looks like today, and here are some photos of the bird in first winter plumage.
3rd. of March 2002: A picture of two second winter Great Black-backed Gulls can bee seen here. Also from the same date and location (Fedje, Hordaland, 2nd. of March) you can see two adults; bird 1 and bird 2 (portrait). Fedje is probably one of the best sites to study GBBG's in Hordaland. Yeaterdays trip gave more than 300 birds, and many of them are already defending territories. Also new today, an adult Black-headed Gull moulting into summer plumage here.
20th. of February 2002: A second-winter Lesser Black-backed Gull from Oslo on the 18th. of February is added today. Two photos can bee viewed here. The species is a very rare winter-bird in Norway. An adult Great Black-backed Gull is also added, and can be seen here.
11th. of February 2002: A "dark-eyed" adult winter Ring-billed Gull from Bergen today is added. The bird was initially ringed in January 1999, and is in its fourth winter plumage now. See two images here.
6th. of February 2002: An overview picture from a Black-legged Kittiwake colony is added.
5th. of February 2002: A second-winter Herring Gull, and an adult winter Common Gull is new at the site today.

14th. of January 2002: An abberrant first-winter Herring Gull showed up in Bergen today. The bird is showing some features often associated with the Nearctic subspecies smithsonianus, but could of course just be an argentatus extreme? Have a look, and e-mail your opinion.
